The short version: the site sets no cookies and loads nothing from anybody else. Our server keeps an ordinary access log for 90 days, the same as any web server. If you fill in a form or send a donation, we get what you typed and nothing more. We do not sell it, we do not advertise, and there is no mailing list to end up on.
Cyber Skull Media (“we,” “us”) makes music reactions, live show coverage, interviews and food reviews. This site is where that work lives. Anything on this page, or anything you want removed, goes to cyberskullmedia@gmail.com.
Nothing to you. There are no cookies, no analytics scripts, no advertising pixels and no trackers. The fonts, the images and the code all come from our own server, so loading a page here does not tell any other company that you were here.
That is a measured claim rather than a hopeful one: the public page makes 24 requests and every one of them is to this site.
Our web server keeps an access log, which every web server does. A line in it has your IP address, the time, which page you asked for, the page you came from if any, and the name your browser gives for itself.
It is kept for 90 days and then deleted automatically. We use it to see which pages people actually read and to notice when something is being attacked or broken. It is summarised into a traffic report that only we can open, and that report is counts and totals rather than a list of people.
We do not try to work out who you are from it, and we do not join it to anything else.
The contact form changes depending on who you say you are, because a viewer saying hello and a promoter offering a date need to tell us different things. Between them the forms ask for some of: your name, email, phone, city, country, website or socials, the act or company you are with, and details of what you are getting in touch about, which can include dates, venue capacity, budget range and audience size.
You choose what to put in. Only the message itself is ever required.
The form is delivered by Web3Forms, which passes it straight to our inbox. That means what you type goes through their servers on its way to us, so their privacy policy applies to that hop. If their service is not reachable, the form falls back to opening a prefilled message in your own email app instead, and in that case nothing goes anywhere until you press send.
We use it to reply to you and to keep track of the conversation. It is not sold, not shared, and not added to any mailing list.
Donations are handled by Stripe on their own page. Your card details go to Stripe and never touch this site. We could not see them if we wanted to.
What comes back to us is your name, your email, the amount, and whatever you wrote in the one free-text box on Stripe’s page. People use that either to say how they want to be credited or to leave us a message, and it is optional. We keep that so we can thank you and so the total adds up. On the fundraising page only the total is public. The list of who gave is behind a login that only our team has.
Nothing loads from YouTube until you press play. Up to that moment the page has made no request to them at all, which is why a card is a picture and a link rather than an embedded player.
When you do press play we open the player in YouTube’s no-cookie mode, which is the least they collect while still counting the view. From that point you are watching YouTube and their terms and privacy policy apply.
We link out to YouTube, Discord, our merch store and our social accounts. Artist pages also link to where you can follow the artists themselves. Once you follow one of those you are on somebody else’s site under somebody else’s rules, and we have no say in what they collect.
We do not sell or rent anything you give us. We do not run ads on this site. We do not build a profile on you, and we do not put you on a list you did not ask to be on.
This site is not aimed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect anything from them. If you think a child has sent us something, email us and we will delete it.
Email cyberskullmedia@gmail.com and ask. If you have written to us or donated, we can delete what we hold. The access log we cannot pick you out of, but it clears itself within 90 days either way.
If this changes we update this page and move the date at the top. There is no version of this where we start tracking you quietly.
